I think that sincerity is the best characteristic because if you can forgive someone, you can move on from the past. i know this because i make a lot of mistakes, and my friend forgive me for it. Colin M 5A
I think that honesty is one of the most important parts of friendship because if you cannot trust someone as a stranger, you probably won't be able to trust them as a friend. Grace B.

I think honesty is the most important characteristic BECAUSE IF YOUR FRIEND IS NOT HONEST TO YOU they're hiding something important and wont tell because they don't think you can handle it.

I feel like trustworthiness and honesty are the 2 most important characteristics because if you have a friend that lies to you and/or tells mean things about you behind your back, that person probably won't make a good friend- I personally think honesty and trustworthiness go hand in hand. Just my opinion though.

I think that trustworthy is the most important word because you need to be able to trust your friend.

I think that being a good friend you have to be honest because if you lie about having something and they go over your house the will ask to see it and you will have to lie again. If you lie again they will ask your parents and if you lied to them and they find out you lied they will not accept you as a friend.
